I have a theory: what if the blonde girl is actually her original body, and her soul was transferred into the red-haired girl’s body?
I think the blonde guy might have been the one who transferred her soul because he wanted her all to himself. That could also explain why he doesn’t want her going to the temple maybe he’s afraid the High Priest might discover the truth about who she really is.
It could also explain why he wants her to bring him the head of her former fiancé. Maybe there’s a connection between them that he doesn’t want her to remember.
And maybe that’s why he doesn’t want her to become interested in his face. What if she might recognize him or remember something from her original life if she sees him properly?
So my theory is that the blonde girl and the red-haired girl are actually the same person — the blonde girl is her original body, while the red-haired girl is the body her soul was transferred into.
