@I KNOW ITS COOL BUT THE ANSWER IS saying something is something which it is not. He was as feirce as a lion. He definitely is not but it proves he is brave. Meanwhile a simpile which is often confused to be a metaphor or the other way around is saying something is like of as another thing. "He is feirce like a lion" is a simile.
