This plan is going to fail spectacularly! This guy is going to set it up so the protagonist receives a jewel that works just like the egg from Yu Yu Hakusho: if the person is evil, the jewel will glow with dark energy; but if they are good, it will glow with an intense light. Imagine the result! He will give a long speech about corruption and infiltrated criminals, only to look like an idiot during the revelation.
