Comment on ChapterCherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! - Chapter 81
why is everyone GLAZING this woman in the comments just for doing one (1) good thing??? She just assumed Kurosawa was gay (which she's WRONG about) and assumed THAT'S the reason why he was uncomfortable with her instead of y'know,, the fact that she used her position of power to get him drunk and take advantage of him. Like maybe just you did a horrible thing and Kurosawa's sexuality has nothing to do with that?

I'm all for having characters redeem themselves but it doesn't feel like she's reflected. I wouldn't want to work for someone who thinks is okay to come onto me as long as i like women

@marx himself exactly like she still sa'ed him ?? 😭 or are we just forgetting about that because she does diversity hires 😭
@KissKissFallinLovexo honestly I'm hoping this is building towards something based on how wrong this woman is in all of the points she makes. At the time she made her advances on Kurosawa he was a man who had exclusively dated women and didn't know he had the capability to like men, he began to like Adachi AFTER the trauma she inflicted on him. Assuming that Kurosawa was uncomfortable with her advances bcs "he's not into women" futhers the narrative that (het) men cannot be victims because "they always want it", that stuff is a part of toxic masculinity which is a thing we see Kurosawa struggle with throught the comic (it's mentioned that he's scared of asking for help or being vulnerable with others, at one point he plainly states that he felt pressured to act "more like a man", when he was assaulted no one in the company was there for him except for Adachi, everyone else just assumed everything was okay and left him alone while he was obv sick and we see Korosawa feeling pressured to just pretend up until the point Adachi reassures him that it's okay to be vulnerable). (+)
(+) I re-read that chapter just in case too and Matsuura literally hasn't changed AT ALL. The first time she offered Kurosawa a position in her company (she asked him to be her secretary) and when he wasn't interested she tried to get him into a compromising position (getting him drunk) against his wishes. Now she's doing the exact same thing, using private/compromising info that she obtained against Kurosawa's wishes to get him to join her company. Where's the change?? She saw this man ONCE like two years ago so it's honestly scary how she both still remembers him and still has the same train of thought going on. There's been some cool parallelism/call backs to stuff in this manga already so I hope this is just another one.

everyone in the comments being all like "so i guess everything is okay then i'm so glad we don't have angst" it's ALSO giving big "men can't be victims" energy 'cause wdym no angst??? even if Matsuura hasn't outright threatened him it's still retraumatizing to Kurosawa :/
