I gotta be honest... if I hadn't already been spoiled on the timeline and what is going to happen, I would have called BS at the author doing this. I would have genuinely thought that they had simply run out of ideas and where throwing things against the wall.
I'm kinda glad that it was spoiled for me so I know exactly how cool this is.
