Is this a translation problem or just the concept of mc to call himself trash. I feel like he's calling himself a drunk but translation turned it into trash because no one in their right mind even a fictional character would call themselves trash continuously like it's nothing. A

it's okay for him, because it's not a low self esteem problem. Being perceived as "trash" is his self chosen persona. It allows him to fly under the radar of cads like this guy. So it's like he's saying, "Hi, I'm the harmless son of count. I'm harmless, so don't mind me, I'll just be playing around and amusing myself."
then he can quietly do whatever he wants without drawing attention too soon
