@AshiuRey remember they sent him away cuz he was the weakest? That likely was what caused him to become demonic in the future, and they likely feel responsible for it.

@creek that might be one of the reason but i think the main reason was she really thought he became a demonic human with his own will and betrayed humanity until she found out that he's manipulated by his sister (heavenly demon) and has a cursed put in his heart when he died by confessing the locations of the remaining demonic human causing his heart to burst. You can check it in the first chapter, he even said in his monologue before dying that if he told them that all that he has done was against his will and manipulated from the very beginning, would they forgive him? By the time Seol-Ah learned the truth she felt guilty and regretted she didn't notice it from the beginning that's why she did everything to turn back time. Novel readers said that Soel-Ah and the heavenly demon worked together to bring him back to the past idk if it's true.

@punyemas this is a spoiler-   in the novel it is stated that these two share so many regressions. In one point of time they where married and even had a kid. But somehow the time they spent togather always end as Gu dies every time. The girl has the regression ability and she uses it to save hom each time but never succeeded . So this time she gave her ability to thr mc so he can regress . She can no longer regress.in the forst chapter she was looking for her current fiancee becuse he actually had a way to help the demonic mc .she got angry because the mc thought she was looking for fiancee but actually she just loved him. Thats why she was crying failing to save him

@AshiuRey didn't they show in the beginning that she forced him to give information about where the alliance leader son was "held hostage" , making him kill himself because of the restriction, only to find out the alliance leader's son was part of the demonic faction.
I would feel pretty guilty about that, especially if you know why he became demonic in the first place

Well you guys are forgetting one of the main reason why he turned demonic,

@creek You mean when they were in the Demon Realm? Unless Wi SeolHa remembers it, Yangcheon mentioned that they all regressed to the day before being sent there and no one except him remembered anything. Given what we know of Seol Ha by now, it's possible she does remember and just played it safe. But between being send off and regressing, there could have been something that caused him to become a demon.

And this is why I hope this story won't stall 'cause it has a really good passing.

@Drakensji He's shown that he's a bit of a shíthead, so I have my doubts if he really was a hostage or double crossed everyone. Maybe even caused the Heavenly Demon's demise to take her place.
