lly went too far, not gonna lie. It's like she was eaten by it, Those two apologizing is kinda enough even if not totally even if their sincerity isn't clear and also it'll be Cael who's to decide whether to forgive them or not, Hess is out of it, and I get where Hess is getting at as for she witnessed him dead (for as far as I remember, I may be wrong in this one), she did her best too, her actions is justified up until this moment but not in that moment. (I know many of the readers would disagree with me so ah, sorry?!)
