Not that the story will say that outright cuz that'll make his death pathetic. Also very convenient to change the POV to the chick so whatever sympathy readers have will hopefully diminish cuz she's got that stereotypical trash NPC personality, a very nice excuse to justify MC's actions.

Another plus with the loan ad while MC is in crisis to remind loans are exploitable and getting loans from 17 apps while grocery shopping without triggering fraud detection and freezing of account definitely doesn't spell "plot convenience" and "invincible plot armor" cuz hey, that just means MC is poor and struggling and relatable, yeah?
