idk, it's just weird, because the ml is basically falling in love with his dog. he never knew she used to be human. I guess you could say it's because she can actually talk, but then he would've still fallen in love with her as a dog? or, maybe it's just that, he liked her (platonically), but now that she's human, it's different? I'm not sure, it still feels weird to me.
