step 1... avoid all the MLs in the original story step 2... avoid the original MC at all cost... step 3... escape this place as soon as you can. you are mentally adult with modern knowledges and skills and the know how the story goes... you can easily survive.

@ZCore You're ignoring several facts: A) There are numerous stories with the FMC who tries this and fails until a certain part of the story or NG+ (regression).
There are tons of book and game universes, that want a certain fate to happen and will railroad that plot one way or another.
B) 99.99% of all people who end up like this are common low-wage job people or NEETs.
I highly doubt you or even most readers have profitable skills to carry over to survive in a totally alien culture to what most modern humans live in. (No Flush Toilets; No OSHA Standards (nor Food and Safety Standards); No Human Rights for non-Nobles; Hostile to Woman's Rights; No Modern Health Care; No Modern Conveniences; etc.)
C) As mentioned by someone else. If you end up a child, you aren't surviving on your own (especially if you aren't Noble. There is 0 Child Youth Services to look out for you. Worse if you're a girl.)
So regardless of "an adults mentality (software)" your hardware is a Child's brain, with a Child's chaotic stew of hormones and underdeveloped neural pathways / activity.
