Well in real life, (just in any country really) the police usually doesn't believe the victim for the fact that the victim is male. Male victims are specially discouraged by this, considering most people who tell them that didn't actually happen to them are family members or/and close friends. It's just the fear of not being believed, specially if someone doesn't help, then the victim can't really do anything about the stalker and live in constant fear. They're male victims who get help from family members, friends, or the police with those type of situations.
