@Cheese_Bar I think you miss something. There are two ways for him to return home:
1. To accomplish his mission ( He will save everyone) or
2. To fail his mission (Everyone will die)
Both reward/punishment lead him to return home. Only the first one have choices between return home or stay.

@Akane Aoi But the outcome is gonna be the same like of you fail all those ppl will die but if he goes back by choice also all the people he saved will die anyway
