A few things I wanted to clear up,
1. Her father most likely didn't kill his parents and came too late to save them. He pulled a sword that was put in ak's father by someone else out, and ak saw that and misunderstood. Since mc's father mostly uses fire and could proably easily incinerate ak's parents if he actually were to kill them then ak probably wouldn't have even seen them as corpses and instead as ashes.
2. ML is ak and no, mc and ak aren't related by blood in anyway. Mc's father did not and does not like anyone romantically, including ak's mother. Ak was taken from his home to be the next sect leader as per tradition
3. MC's mother was the icy bi***, and not ak's mother
