Especially in korea, which is a well known patriarchal country, where they are literally abused by men. You know that sk doesn't have any strong r@pe law! So people who create art, sees it as a medium to showcase their traumas and claim the idea of being strong and self sufficient. I am not saying it's right or wrong, but their art acts as an power that they hold over themselves. I remember that the author of Sadistic Beauty created the character Minho on the basis of her horrible ex. And that's why she made him go through a lot of disgusting things later on. In my opinion, she saw the opportunity to give him the same trauma in fiction that he (maybe) gave her.
