Why would you? Maybe Troy didn't knew it, but he caused Lewis to die faster and in the arms of someone he didn't even love. If he accepted the fling was over when Adolph ended things instead of pushing it further, he might have known someone better and found love. But he chose this path, so he deserved what came his way.
