@Nah they are esentially primodial existences.
You know the Outer Gods right? Those two are considered Gods among other Outer Gods.
The Red One is his Primodial Self and the Blue One is one he became contracted to when he bonded with an artifact.
Both of them are not hostile and don't really threaten people, but they exeude so much raw abyssal energy(unprocessed form of mana) that hight tier mages who have hight magic sensitivity not only see them, but also feel them, right down to their very bones.
Its like looking at a real ghost at point blank range. The ghost is in no way malicious towards you. In fact it is curious about you, but you can't help but feel terror right to the core of your very existence after seeing such a thing.

@Nah they're some sort of entity that breaks through the fabric of the world and/or rewrites the worlds laws when mc uses magic. At least thats what i got so far from what the blue hair mage girl said
