Ok, I didnt know why this was cancelled and Just read the chapter and, in my opinión, it wasnt that bad, and yes the topic is sensitive im not here to invalidate anyone's opinión on the matter im Just sharing my own but compared to other works I have seen? This is not the worst thats out there plus the only racist character in this chapter is not even the protagonist when he litteraly told them they could leave, that they were free People and gave them all the money he had gotten from selling his estate for them to ressetle elsewhere and be with their familys plus no one is talking about the other topics like how this was based on a time that slavery was brutal and inhumane and the protagonist's first reaction was to freed the people working in the ranch he inherited plus how he just lost all his family, was clearly also forced to mantain a certain image he seemed to despise until the death of his father, and even after his father died he was expected to continúe with the beliefs of the time wich, atleast in this chapter, it was shown that he didnt share them, i have seen many works that are also slaves x máster Who are straight up Abusive from the start not just in bl but also in many historical series and movies and i dont see anyone cancelling them, im latina, my culture has also gone throught inhumane treating and most of the cultures before colonization here were erazed and i see everywhere how my culture and People are sexualized to no end in many works and real life and no one bats an eye, sure American Black People also went throught unspeakable things and deserve respect as much as everyone else but my point is that this is not New and it was just chapter One of a work that was based on a time that Just the action of freeing People of color was seen as weak or dishonor and the protagonist did Just that, im not defending the topic but Im also not defending the cancellation afterall none of us knew how it was gonna turn out in the end
