@Lia i don't think so, maybe the king didn't like jeffrey because he wasn't his child i think they are step brothers

@Lia well not by blood because the queen cheated and got pregnant with the mc, however the king is technically the legal father for both of them

@Lia no in one chapter the queen told Joffrey that he's not the emperor's son. And he was saying he shouldn't feel sad cause he already knew. Anyway they r not blood related don't worry everyone

@Doreetos ohh yeah that's it she cheated 😭 she's really shameless I feel bad for the emperor (not really but anyone would be sad to know his son isn't really his) 
But good thing she did otherwise the relationship between the mc and ml would sound a little...not right

@seniorita I'm pretty sure the Emperor already knows seeing how he hates Joffrey. There's a chance he never slept with the empress so that could be how he knows. But there's also a chance he just hates Joffrey due to him being the son of the empress and he just hates the empress in general
