@Jin His Abyss crystal was working so he can escape to the Abyss. Grind there to gain more levels and then come back. So, yeah. He could escape but he was all confident that his enemy was actually weak enough and now he's getting his @$$ handed to him.

Until next chapter he pulls some stunt and wins like he always do. Or escapes then showing all this fight was for nothing.
