@DreamOfFire She doesn't trust her ex, she literally tore up the letter he tried to give her. Also, Theo's been confusing the he** out of her because he's still pursuing her despite telling her to forget about the kiss. She specifically told Theo not to resort to violence unless she says. She's still his boss, and he insists that he's "her dog", but he often ignores what she says and wants. He tried to solve an issue with violence again, despite what his boss explicitly told him, so she's right to be angry even if their relationship wasn't on thin ice right now.

I think people are being too unfair to Elle. It's easy for the readers to be on Theodore's side(and against Elle) because we know all of his thoughts, we know about the regression and Elle's execution etc, but Elle doesn't know any of that. To her, he's still someone who hasn't given her any answers, and she doesn't know why he keeps calling her master etc etc. Things are getting more tense with the murders etc and Theo is not doing her any favors by emotionally confusing her and disobeying her orders.
