@Calypso the king is no where to be found in the hall in original story, he was really ill. But after the events he knew his son was behind this, summons him, gives him a final warning. 
Also Prof., Alice, both princesses were escaping together as a team. 
Prof. And Alice were badasses. 
Here there prof is hanging around cyan 
Many minor changes as these highlight different characters in novel, but in manga, every single characters only job is to hype up Cyan. Making the story boring. 
Cyan is a badass in all rights, doesn't need gas up material. A story needs other character too
