I actually get why Namu did that he had seen mc hurt in past so he doesn't want mc to fall for hoon one sidely while hoon doesn't have feelings for him because maybe it happened in past that mc falled for a guy and they were disgusted & bullied him So he just wanted to make sure that if Hoon doesn't have any feelings then he shouldn't be nice to mc and make him fall for him
