Im FOREVER team Dan but do people really have no empathy. He has trauma. All his life he's never had anyone to rely on. He's been completely abandoned by the world so he's grown up to be closed off and defensive (whether it be physical or emotionally). Jaekyung never received help to be able handle his feelings resulting in the way he acts now. So while I'm not saying he's completely justified for the way he treats Dan, I'm says it's a bit more understandable of why his character has turned out his way, and we should all show a bit of empathy to that horse face.
