I've been in the hyung's position multiple times and sometimes it does get messy, so I get where he's coming from. As readers, it's very easy for us to immediately jump to the MC's side because we're reading it from his POV.
But being nice to people is common bare minimum decency especially if you're working together, are in school together, or in some kind of project together. But some people tend to read too much into your behaviour and it gets awkward. I hope the hyung figures it out, because yeah it's a bit trouble sometimes when people keep falling for you when you're just trying to be a bare minimum good person.
