I just wanna say towards the other replies, that it's still creepy to me and counts as grooming for the fact that they met when he was 16 years old which is considered as a kid in a lot of states and the other guy is a 20 year old which is a adult. Considering they probably been friends for 4 years, the 20 year old might've catched feelings for him in that time. It's like a teacher having feelings for a student and then when they're of legal age, they start dating the student. It's gross and weird.

@Lin  4 years can be very big for a 20 year old and a 24 year old. Maturity matters. We don't know if one of the characters had a crush on the other and was taken advantage of that at that time. If a 22 year old was dating a 18 year old, in my country that's legal but very creepy. Considering a 22 year old has life experiences, while a 18 year old is either still in high school or just got out of it.  Usually, older people go after younger people to date so they can easily manipulate them. My worry lies there.
