you actually have 3 chances per session, before practice begins (if you both get there early), the 10 minute break and after practice ends. It might be easiest to talk after the practice session is over the first few times unless he is quick to escape the scene when it is over or he is surrounded by others (though if he is approached by others and you happen to be friends with any of them, ask that person for help).
