Time and Time again people seem to forget that Carcel was not the person he was because he wanted to and was clearly manipulated and raised to be a playboy who likes to sleep around by Ines and this chapter was a clear enough proof. People have to understand that a person cannot clap with one hand and just like that a relationship cannot not work from just one side. We see that Carcel was clearly in love with Ines from a very young age even when they were little kids but Ines had a very clear goal from the very start. Obviously was Carcel sleeping around with women while he was engaged right? Absolutely not but we cannot fully put the blame on him, since both of them were in the wrong.

I mean, honestly? Even without the pushing, I never blamed him for the behavior. He was forced into an engagement without his consent or his feelings taken into account BY INES. If it was just their parents doing it then maybe, but this entire thing was orchestrated by Ines herself. He'd have been well within his rights to take advantage of whatever minimal freedom he could get his hands on before marriage.
