Why do emperor and kings like this like they get mad if the queen or empress has a lover when they literally have a dozen.

i do get your point, but back in the day it was the norm for people like kings or emperors to have multiple mistresses/ wives so it wasnt particularly immoral or anything, but from the present perspective it is immoral to do such things. the older days are different from the modern ones so not everything is as equal as currently. ( this isnt a hate comment :(! )
