It kinda hit me that this story is basically calling out how we treat real people, we see a pretty face and suddenly we’re blind. We excuse the most messed-up behaviour, murderers, abusers, RAPIST, sadistic people, just because they look good or seem charming (pretty privilege. And now I’m starting to think the author did that on purpose, to make us realise how easily we fall for appearances and let awful people slide. (just a thought idk)
