So, any doctor would choose her life over the baby.  Because you know, if she dies the baby dies. Also a deathly level of sickness has a high chance of causing a miscarriage anyway even if she survives.  It is extremely strange they have enough medical knowledge to know this disease, have a cure, and be aware it can cause miscarriages.  This would be an illness not a disease since no way they would  be able to cure diseases at best they could relieve the symtoms slightly.
Saving the mother is always the right choice in these situations, it's an awful choice, but the correct one. Once again, baby can't live if she dies so if this is that bad an illness then it's the only option.  They not killing the baby, they are treating the mother.  I assume this is a life threatening illness and not her just having a cold,  which I guess in manga is often a life threatening sickness for some reason.
Read Cursed Princess Club, it's finished and fantastic.

@Mistress Maya That is not fully true. If the mother chooses to keep the baby the doctor can do nothing, especially if the mother stated that she wants to save the baby at all costs when she has full mental clarity. The doctor can not go against the mothers/patients wishes. For example if a mother has cancer and is pregnant the mother can choose not to go through chemo in order to keep the baby safe and healthy. Even though the cancer is likely to continue growing and by time she gives birth the cancer could be to far gone. But this is also not always the case, sometimes the baby won't survive either way so the doctor saves the mother or the mother chooses to save herself instead of the baby. But if the mother states that her wish is to save the baby when she has a clear mind her husband has no say is whether or not to save the mother and let the baby go
