I know people are gonna be confused with that translation so here you go:
Teaui realizes that Ilay basically used him to catch McKean and his Uncle also used him to sell his brothers work. So he feels betrayed by both parties. The night before, Ilay and Taeui got busy so Taeui is still sore. Therefore Ilay decided to send him to the prison so he could rest/recover without having to walk around all day.
While in prison Tae has a conversation with the guy who tried to kill Ilay in the cafeteria at the very beginning of the story. Tae doesn't really conversate with the guy, but instead he reminisces about his brother. He desperately wants to reconnect the thread that Jae cut with his fingers so they will have better luck again and be able to see each other.
Ilay picks up Tae from the prison around 10pm, which is many hours after their usual work schedule ends. So Ilay thinks Tae is mad about that and feels bad. Ilay was stuck in meetings all day though and released Tae the second he was done with work.
As they are leaving the prison Tae is still depressed about being used by both Ilay and his uncle and just wants to go to his room and rest. Ilay however assumed Tae would go to his room so they could talk. (The conversation about walking one floor up vs taking the elevator, Ilays room his a few floors up and Tae is only one floor up). Ilay knows Tae loves beer more than anything and would want some after having a hard day, so he filled his fridge with some for him during the day and used this to persuade Tae to come to his room to talk.
Next chapter were gonna get more of an explanation from Ilay and his Uncle.
