I feel bad for the dad, sure he didn't a pretty di** move by abandoning the kid when he was a baby, but he's trying to make amends and wants to be in the kid's life while he's still young. It's only going south because the kid is just too attached to his older brother and doesn't want to part ways with him.... And yet he's being treated like he's a villain and the worst dad ever in this situation.
