i don't know if it will ever be mentioned in the manwha but in the novel it was revealed that Dunphil and Christian have feelings for each other. They were both aware of it but never acted on it. They were both the next in line for their respective houses and they were expected to marry and have heirs. That is what Dunphil did, but at this point Christian still haven't. That is why in the earlier chapters Dunphil often mentioned Christian has to take in a bride. But obviously Christian is falling for Ray and Dunphil knew it even before Christian himself acknowledged it.

I novel they both love each other but read hair know both are man so they can't marry, so he marry & had children for political reason but white hair deny to maary for anyone just for political reason & break up with red hair. Red hair feel betrayed because he thought they would still love each other even after they both get marry to others but white hair leave him.
