Spoiler!
Lize is pretty commonly described in the novel as having a cutesy type of aesthetic, and often wears cute types of clothing, where as even now Edith is said to suit a more luxurious, sensual type of vibe, and tends to wear more mature, revealing clothing. When Liz's showed up at Kilians door, he noticed she was apparently wearing far more revealing nightwear than she usually would, much more similar to what Edith would wear than her, in an obvious attempt to seduce him that he saw right through. He goes on to note to himself that when Edith wears these types of things, it makes her feel irresistible to him. But when he sees Liz's wearing the same type of apparel, he feels she looks ridiculous, and even describes her as looking "like a child that got into their mothers wardrobe. He's pretty ruthless in his thoughts towards her in this scene, even if he does remain at least cordial on the outside. Unfortunate that they toned the scene down so much, and rushed it. It was satisfying to read Lize all upset that Kilian seemed to have 0 interest in her despite her being so unusually assertive towards him
