BUT, dont forgett that some asian countrys count the age from birth as 1yo, here in western countrys the child would turn 1yo after a year was passed after birth.
so yeah, mc is "18" in china, but here, in western countrys, he would be 17.
but the "legal" age differenates from country to country. how "high" it is in china, i dont know, but in western countrys its mostly 18, so yeah, she would be pedophile, if she sleept with him. but they did not.

legal age is if the law is in the opinion that the involved persons are adoults and is in the opinion they know what they do. and in germany its if one turns 18.
the age were minors can have s** (with restictions) in germany is 16. if the parents "allows it" than its "legal", even if the partner of the minor is older. but here is the funny part, even if they gave first the "permission" and after the deed, if they wanted to, they could let the older than 18 guy get imprisoned becouse he fuc*** a minor.
if both are older than 16 but younger than 18 than THEY WOULD (after the law) STILL NEED THE PERMISSION OF THEIR PARENTS! (that is the restriction) if they (BOTH!) dont have the permission, than the parents who didnot gave the permission could sue the ather and bring it to the court, what would put the ather eventualy even in to youth prison.
and dont mention it, i know that in almost each country kids with a younger age have s**, but its not allowed, its ignored.

this is the stuff i remember, if its still that way or got changed, i dont know, my knowlage about that is from 30 years ago, and tbh, it can be that i remember some stuff even wrong.
