I had to look for answers about this ending so I did, if anyone else is confused, thank this beautiful redditer, they said.
Everyone ends up unhappy. The dude in front of the bus died but donated his eyes to you know who, and Ah-In didn’t tell Seo Ilmo. He hid he could see to set a trap for Ilmo, and blinded him while he was tied up and helpless because he lied about them dying together after switching out the poisoned wine on the boat so he couldn’t trust him. He also thinks that ilmo saw the copycat who tried to kill him, by the RV, before he stabbed Ah-In. And also said that if he tried to kill Ilmo, he didn’t think he’d allow it so maimed him instead. And he didn’t want to become the monster Ilmo wanted him to be. So - everyone unhappy in so many ways. To belatedly answer the OP: Ah-In ended up with Ilmo. The dead bodies were mainly Seo Ilmo copycat killers with a sprinkling of collateral damage killed by Ilmo while he dragged the blind Ah-In with him. The friend had his tongue cut out on the day that Ah-In went to the house to say goodbye/move on. In my opinion I feel like this was a pretty average psychological story though, the first season was a great start then it got rather predictable and the story ran on rails without the same kind of twists that make these kinds of stories great.
So he can see he's just tricking ilmo like in the start, which is very fitting. I also assume he cut off his finger as payback or something? I'm not sure.
