Izek will swat them away like flies. He will not doubt Ruby. He will choose to directly speak with her. While doing so, he comes across Ruby being beaten by her brother. So, of course, he battles the brother and injures him. But he escapes. Izek can't follow after him because he can't leave injured Ruby behind.
