I'm sorry but I can't seem to like all this situation at all. It's so weird to ship irl people, and even your BROTHER?? How would people react so nicely if it was real??? WHO MENTALLY SANE WOULD MAKE A FANFIC OF THEIR BROTHER, GAY OR NOT?? HELP??

@Confused over my years of living I've have of 100 irl ships of people I know personally, most of them are for sh*** and giggles but I have favorite ships that I will scream at them, all 10 ppl I put in those fav ships have gotten together and have long lasting relationships.....soooooo....I find it pretty normal....
@Confused I think it just an implication of showing how actually in real life we ship PPL even if it does not become real, like if they are really really close, and yes in real life nobody in their right mind would write a fanfic using the real name specially a family member but PPL do take inspo and I think it's all a metaphor for just this, if this was real I imagine she would have made up imaginary names for the characters but I believe the author wrote it this was just to give us a clear vision of whom the sister is specifically taking inspo from making it more relatable for us...
