He says the monster is stronger, but what if instead he's the one getting stronger at controlling the monsters body.

@Batou I personally don't think so. While he could possibly grow stronger, those bodies he possesses doesn't belong to him.
The only thing he can take over are the sphere which also works as the monsters’ brains. From appearance, the monster that he currently inhabits already differs from the others, especially the shape of its jaw.
Unlike him, tanktop sunbae can freely go back and forth from monster to human. Mc here doesn't have a monster version but instead are able to take over other monsters.
I believe this is because compared to tanktop sunbae who accepts the black sphere, mc was doing his best and utmost in rejecting its transformation as he'd rather die than be the one to kill his friends.
Maybe because he was able to overtake the sphere, he can do the same by imitating the actions beforehand and control other monsters.
