@Dandelion You can clearly see in the last panel that Sakuraba says the woman on TV is his type. Meanwhile, Asami only says the guy on TV is handsome, without claiming he’s his type. Like, how could you even say that in front of your own partner? To me, it seems like Sakuraba is just feeding his ego to feel loved and wanted.

I often read stories where one of the characters is in denial about their feelings for other men, even struggling with internalized homophobia. But their character development feels satisfying and complete, unlike this one which feels half-hearted.

@TripleAAA so true now that you mention it, I also felt that TV conversation a bit off from Sakuraba's side. You are absolutely right this relationship is half hearted especially them talking about forever but literally behaving like teens in a situationship.
