The Bow is probably inspired by the Chinese myth where Hou Yi (后羿)who is a legendary Chinese mythological hero known as the "Lord Archer" who saved humanity by shooting down nine of ten suns that were scorching the earth. Ordered by the Emperor to stop the apocalypse, Hou Yi used a divine bow and arrow to destroy nine suns, leaving one to provide light and heat, and often appears in tales alongside his wife, the moon goddess Chang'e
