@floating kettle Medieval morals were different back then it was viewed as okay in this context because they were married and now when we look back at it and see history from a modern perspective we understand how vile it is, at least according to modern standards which I very much believe to be superior to that of medieval or ancient. In medieval times morals were heavily influenced by the regions religion as well as customs passed down generation after generation. As humanity evolves or as civilisations become more advanced, our outlook changes. Common practices today could be seen as barbaric in the future. The point I am trying to make is morals are a matter of perspective.
