Okay, but he's not explaining anything to this child. MC is just being a di** at this point. He just randomly insults everyone for any reason. He said he's taking the kid in as a disciple but hasn't explained anything to him. He just threw some techniques at him and left. Sure, those could be g**-tier techniques, but the boy doesn't know that. He hasn't been taught enough, well enough, to understand what that means. So he's going to trust the little he does know because he knows it. It's the student's job to learn, but it's the teacher's job to teach. And, obviously, the child is going to trust an adult he's known his entire life and prioritise helping his sister put food on the table. They are incredibly poor; it's not like MC doesn't know that! I'm not thrilled with how the MC is acting like an a** every two seconds.
