same which is why I reread the entire thing last night lol. So basically he has an ex who's super toxic hits him, SAs him, etc. and this ex is rich boy. 

so new ML jiwan (who's also rich boy) tricks MC into thinking he's a nice protective friend who looks out for him and cares about him (which is all a lie)

ML attacks ex bf and cuts off his fingers. (Cuz he's jealous of ex bf) and ex moves away to like America or something 

ML is psycho, stalks MC, isolates MC, spreads rumors about MC, harms his uncles business, puts his mom in the hospital, etc

So when MC finds out what ML has been doing he "breaks up" with ML

(ML does not take it well)

So when MC is packing to leave and escape ML, ML holds a knife to his neck and threatens to commit suicide.

MC doesn't care (good thing) and walks off.

MC and ML aren't in contact. (guaranteed ML has still been stalking him tho)

MC sees ML in a college seminar

sooo since ex bf still loves mc and hates ml, it would make sense for mc to request help from ex bf. But commenter "deepinmia" is right. He might ask for something as a reward.
