No, no, I understand that you are angry by how fast the mc forgave the ml, but don't compare a long-lasting abusive relationship with a long-last miss communicative relationship.
This must be quite annoying to read, but '10 years where I loved you the most' is definitely way worst in terms of tragedy and bad relationships, at least the ml here IS trying to change and haven't had an affair yet.
the point here is, he did neglect the mc's feelings but he never physically abused him
