Question of the Day: Is there a certain number of chapters a story (comic, manga, manwha, manhua or webtoon) needs to have for you to be curious enough to check it out? If yes, how many? If no, what matters most for you to try out a story?
Note: No answer shall be judged or attacked, so feel free to share what comes to mind
What attracts me first is the cover art and the synopsis; if the story is complete and has, I don't know, more than 150 chapters, I confess that it discourages me to start... but even so I read at least one chapter to see if it's worth it
If cover art and summary piques my interest, it doesn't matter how many chapters there are, I'll check it out. Art that I like, stories that I find interesting and good translation are the things that are important to me. Actually translation is the most important to me, a bad translation can completely ruin a good story.
Art and Synopsys, If it is a Manga then at least 5 to 15 chapters before i start reading, Manhwa as long as the story looks good ill read as long as it has 15, Manhua depends, Is it romance? needs 40+ so i have time to fall in love with the characters. Cultivation? 100+ since i want to binge that and Manhua have a lot of cliffhangers before the MC finally rubs his success in his judgemental families/lovers families face.
