Saying this, knowing the author's health was the real reason we got this rushed ending (prayers for the author's wellbeing 🙏), but I kind of wished the author ended this on with a breakup because MC needed more character growth to earn his happy ending and ML deserved better than this. A beak up would've been a downer, but it felt right for the character at this moment.
And I also wouldn't say no to an exposition dumped timeskip to tell how MC worked on himself to get to this end point. It also wouldn't be the most satifying but neither is this ending, lbh.
