@Helen she can't the duke was there along so if she said yes he will never believe her even if she didn't write the letters

@Helen she totally could have ... But since it's a webtoon they made it more dramatic than required.. her silly reason to not lie could have cost her a scar on the face for sure... But he was there at that exactly time ? I wld never trust my fate so much lol
