@The girl whose a nerd Well I'd actually want Alfonso to not get involved with her. Ariadne is a vile character made out to be the fl somehow. If Isabella wasn't shown so cartoonishly evil she would actually qualify as more of a fl than her. She's doing the same things as her. Trying to survive in this world with the best man. Ariadne has no right to use Alfonso, the same man she killed for her selfish desires. She should be ashamed to even approach him but here she's acting like the da** fl and showing attitude. If you read the novel you'd know how vile she becomes later on. I think she even slept with Cesare or smth and acted like it's not a big deal.

@Sun I haven't read the novel so I'm rooting for her. She was selfish in her past and her present, but i lk that way better then some vanilla FL who eats sunshines and rainbows for breakfast. She did kill him so yea she should have some shame, but lk her sis said when she killed her the only way for a woman to live in their world is via a man. So far she doesn't seem all that evil and I thought the author was going to give her some development which i am hoping for. I wished that she'd get revenge on her sis and Cesare. As well as end up falling in love with Alphonso, letting him in, and becoming something more than a girl out for revenge.  However, if she does become as vile as you say i may end up dropping it.

@The girl whose a nerd  I don't want to force my opinion on you, therefore I do want you to read the mahwa and get your own impressions on her. Additionally, the manhwa adaptations frequently deviate slightly from the original novels. So perhaps she will turn out to be a decent character after all. But as the book goes on, the more I despise her. However, she does appear to be a decent character in the manhwa who is looking for retribution.
 And if she truly carries out her sister's advice, then her sister is proven to be correct. Because, logically speaking, she murdered her sister's husband, took her place as queen, and rendered her helpless. In a past existence, Isabella had every excuse under the sun to exact revenge on her. So she acted. And in her subsequent life, she simply displayed hysterically wicked facial expressions. I'm not suggesting she's an excellent person or anything, but if the criteria for the MC are set too low, Isabella is unquestionably more demanding than Ariadne.

@Sun I completely agree on the take of isabela. When she said that to FL i thought it was the most badass quote, she was realist. I think isabela doesnt make a sympathetic character because their doesn't seem to be any justification for her actions other than greed. FL previous actions weren't that great either, but atleast she was doing it for the love of her life. isabella doesnt even have that excuse and there doesnt seem to be much depth to her evilness. FLs flaws is a reason i lk her. A morally ambigious fl character is more interesting and she seems lk a real life person not some Mary sue. That said there are certain things that i wont be able to forgive. It seems lk FLs character is kinda lk cersie lannister from your description. At first you dislike her (incest aside cause thats a whole other can of worms), but you dont hate her. You see how she came to be, she has her badass moments, and in some aspects you can sympathize with her. Then you really get to know her and youre lk da** shes the absolute worst cant wait for her to be slaughtered. 🤔

@The girl whose a nerd Yeah I understand where you're coming from. And it's not like I completely hate the fl or smth. It's just that she would probably come at the last position in the list of fls for me. She's a morally grey character and even though I usually like morally gray character because of their realism, smth about Ariadne just ticks me off. Maybe it's because I have grown to like Alfonso the most here and her killing him is rubbing me the wrong way now. I'm not saying that Isabella is a good character or deserves to be the fl. But this manhwa has made her out to be too much of a bad character that she's not. And you see, sometimes there's no reason to gain power. Just like Ariadne was greedy for love in her past life and commited felonies for it, Isavetis greedy for power and is committing felonies for that. And I don't think love makes committing arson any right. But I do understand where you're coming from and I hope that Ariadne could self reflect.

@Sun very good points. If we were looking for could be okay FLs in this it would probably be their baby sister. Ignored by her parents, eldest sister favored, beautiful, capable of changing, talented but unacknowledged, and very lonely. Childish attitude aside she's an all around pitiful character from what I've seen so far.

@The girl whose a nerd Yes, I agree with you. The only person who would actually make a good fl, with overall background and pitifullness, it would most definitely be the youngest. She might as well be the fl of some other manhwa. She has all the reasons to be. Because in my opinion there's no one suited better to actually be called an fl here.

@Sun she also seems lk she would be a little morally ambitious as well because of her actions until now. So with the right author she could be very interesting. 🤔
